Little C's 4th Birthday

Little C's Birthday

Thursday, February 5th, 2009

Today was little C's fourth birthday and we celebrated with dinner, cake, and presents. We made her favorite dinners mac N cheese (Scooby Do), chocolate milk, corn and cake. Daddy made a Dora cake in the morning and little C and I decorated it during the day. After blowing out the candles I ask little C what part of the cake she wanted and she picked Dora's mouth. What a silly girl. She received many nice presents which included a purple Barbie car, a Barbie, pink cupcakes(C says pupcakes), candy, pencils, crayons, Strawberry Short Cake activity book, bunny t-shirt, socks, leap frog reading dvd, Baribe sticker book, Vsmile Little Mermaid game, and toilet paper. Yes... I said toilet paper. It was supposed to be a joke but she got a little upset with me when she opened it. She said I ruined her whole birthday. :( Let me explain, little C had recently reverted back to getting into the toilet paper and spreading it all over the house so Dad and I joked about getting her toilet paper for her birthday because we were tired of the waste. I guess I thought it would be funny but she didn't think so at first. After, I told her she could make a big mess with it and that her real birthday present was the video game she cheered right up again. Needless to say, we had a lot of fun playing with the toilet paper. I want to thank everyone for being so generous in giving. Little C's fourth birthday was a success.

Little C's 4 year picture

Little C and I went to
Portrait Innovations today to get her 4 year old picture taken. Amy at the studio did a GREAT job. Little C thought she was funny because she told her to say "mommy kisses frogs" and "hey.. lady". It was hard to pick just one pose but at $9.95 a package we managed. After the photography session we had a playdate at McDonalds. I can't believe my baby is four.

Our first snowman of the year

Sunday, February 1st, 2009

After ice cream we went to a friends house for an auto machanic lesson and dinner. Our van broke down a couple days ago and big D needed help repairing it. As the guys tore apart the engine I was busy engineering a snowman with the kids. I was happy to be outside in the wonderful warm and sunny wheather and the kids needed to unleash some energy. I had trouble lifting the center of the snowman so I pulled the guys away from van repair to help strong arm the snow. We used prunes for the eyes, carrot for the nose, and black eyed peas for the mouth. When the snowman was done we went inside for dinner and a game of Euchre. Two things native to Michiganers, remove coats when winter temp hits 30 or above and playing Euchre. We appreciate the wonderful support and helping hand provided by our friends.

God Bless,

We went to Maggie Moo's to celebrate little C's 4th birthday. Little C enjoyed her cotton candy ice cream. She received the Vsmile game Little Mermaid, a barbie, and a purple barbie car. Daddy a mommy procrastinated getting her birthday present so we bought it while she was with us. Mom took her to look at Valentine cards while Dad went to electronics. Then, I distracted her at the check out aisle with the junk toys and she never knew the better.
