We had a very busy but wonderful weekend.

Friday date night - went to a bonfire in Diamondale. I never laughed so hard for so long.

Sat. - I got to go garage sale shopping all day! I love the ER MOPS baby sale. I hit the mother load of all garage sales on canal in

ER. Church was awesome. The sat. night event was granola bars and game. D played volleyball most of the time. C

did the cup stacking. Z played basketball. Fun, Fun, Fun.

Sunday - East Lansing Art Festival. Dad got really inspired and has many projects already planned for blacksmith weekend at

Hartwick. The girls got to play the drums with my friend. They looked adorable. Zach said he was bored. I really enjoyed the

music!

We went on a family trip to Manistee this weekend. I absolutely love it! Lake Michigan was beautiful and cold as always. the kids didn't seem to mind the cold lake. Dad made a huge castle with a pool for the kids to play in. The historic downtown of Manistee
is awesome. Funny thing is we ran into an old friend from Eaton Rapids.

Can you believe that more than 1.3 million new cancer cases are expected to be diagnosed in the United States this year? Those

are staggering statistics, but there is hope. Each of us can do something to save lives and help those already fighting this disease.

That's why I've decided to take action against cancer by supporting the American Cancer Society Relay For Life® event right here

in my community.

As you may know, it has become a yearly event for our family to participate in the American Cancer Society's signature event,

Relay for Life. You may NOT know that Mom was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2005. Being diagnosed with cancer was uncomprehensible. The RFL event has empowered us to learn and be more educated about cancer and has given us a useful tool

in fighting for a cure. We are now able to replace fear with knowledge and that is an amazing gift. That is why we take part in American Cancer Society Relay for Life.

We went to Holt RFL saturday night. I had a very special night. It was really special to see the girls and Dad setting up the luminarias. I did have an emotional moment. I didn't think I would but I guess these type of events make me realize how devastating cancer can be. I was a lucky one! I feel so sad for the families that have to put a young child through such hard treatments. I could never image how that would feel. Luckily our family is strong in our faith that we have hope thru such trials and tribulations.

Of coarse I didn't bring my camera to the tournament.

We had a very busy but great weekend.

Friday, we were invited to our friends hanger at the Owosso Community Airport. They were giving everyone plane rides. (Thanks

Guys!!!) D and C had their first airplane ride and I was able to fly a plane for the first time. Of coarse, it was only for a few minutes and I was pretty nervous. It was a good time by all. Good food and fun friends. After the BBQ at the airport we left to see the fireworks in St. Johns.

Saturday, we headed towards Bay City. We left with no agenda but to letterbox. I am really addicted to my new found hobby of letterboxing. We found two letterboxes in Bay City. Letterboxing is kind of like a scavenger hunt. www.letterboxing.org. One of the letterboxes was on a bike trail and the other in a state park. After our K13 Team found the letterboxes we went to Saginaw Bay for some beach fun. However, the beaches on the east side of the state don't compare to the west side. We were a little disappointed at the beach because we could not swim. The water was gross. It looked as though all the party boats at the sandbar spilled oil into the lake. After, the beach we drove to Point Gres and saw more fireworks. They really put on a good
show.

Sunday, we went to Burchfield Park to swim. The girls were very disappointed that they couldn't swim in Lake Huron. We had a very enjoyable afternoon. We set up the tent and hung out on the beach. Then, we took the paddle boats out on the lake. We saw a huge fish and a turtle. Oh yeah, did I mention we searched for another letterbox. Smile This letterbox was very hard to get. We
were ate up alive by mosquitos.

We got a Montana ext. cab van today. Found it on criags list. Below is the description.

Green/grey, grey cloth int., 7 passenger, air conditioning, rear air, rear radio controls, power pass. slider, manual driver's side

slider, cd tape am/fm radio with EQ, tinted glass, quad seating, all seats are adjustable and removeable, ABS, traction control,

trailor hitch, automatic leveling system, built in air compressor, pw/pl, power rear windows, driver information center (outside

temp, gas mileage, ect.), keyless entry with button for power door on remote.

It runs really nice. It does need some exterior work but the interior and loaded options are sweet!
